How to turn PDF pages into JPG or PNG images

Sometimes you need a PDF page as an image: to post it on social media, paste it into a presentation, send it in a chat or attach it to a form that only accepts JPG.

With Shinobi.pdf’s “To images” you choose which pages to convert, the format and the quality.

Step by step

  1. Open the “To images” section

It’s in the sidebar. If you already have a PDF open, you can use it directly.

  2. Choose the pages

Leave it on “All” or type which ones: for example 1-3, 5, 8- (8- means from page 8 to the end).

  3. Choose format and quality

PNG looks perfect with text and graphics; JPG is smaller and fine for photos. High quality to print, medium for screens.

  4. Click “Export images”

Each page is saved as a numbered image in the folder you choose.

Tips

  • For chat apps or social media, medium-quality JPG is enough and much smaller.
  • To print or zoom into small text, use high-quality PNG.
